Programs:
Fun In Celebration Station
Our modern version of Sunday School uses story-telling, music, arts, crafts
and video, to help your kids learn right from wrong in a fun, non-judgmental
atmosphere. Classes for children between the ages of 2 and 13 are held every
Sunday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 (there will also be a special time for
kids during the worship service that follows the Celebration Station program
— see the next item for details)
Worship For Children
Part way through our Sunday morning worship (about 11:45), children leave for
a worship time of their own, featuring music and motion, a Bible story,
creative ways of illustrating how faith relates to everyday life, and a
discussion about values. Your kids will love this interactive, enjoyable
activity that nurtures spirituality in a way that respects their
individuality.
Circle of Friends (currently on break)
This club for girls 10 - 13 meets on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00. Designed to
help young women learn about life and themselves, the Circle sessions give
the girls strong role models and feature three components:
1) Spiritual Awareness. The girls sing, dance and pray together, and discuss
the various ways in which God fits into their lives.
2) Life Issues. Topics range from body image and boys to hygiene and handling
bullies. Girls are encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences in a
safe, no-pressure setting.
3) Fun Stuff! Activities include arts and crafts, gym time, field trips, even
a night of pedicures or hair-wraps. Guest speakers and demonstrations are
part of the program, too.
Registration is limited to 20. After visiting three times, girls are asked to
commit to the club for three months.
NRG!
The NRG!
Youth Group, for kids 10 and up, seeks to help young people learn about God
and themselves in a fun, challenging and supportive atmosphere. With the help
of strong Christian role models, they participate in sports, arts, crafts,
and music and service projects. Annual activities include youth rallies, a
30-hour famine to raise money for the fight against world hunger, and a road
rally/scavenger hunt.
Adult Classes
Our
bible studies are interactive with an emphasis on making them relevant to
modern life. People are free to just sit and listen, but we encourage participants
to share their insight and experiences so that everyone benefits from a
variety of perspectives.
The
Sunday morning Bible study at 10:00 is a chapter-by-chapter look at a portion of the Old Testament and
how its principles relate to life today. On Wednesday night at 7:00 we study various topics from a New Testament
perspective, focusing on relationships, work, family life, and keeping the
church fresh and relevant.
S.O.S. (Sharing Our Support)
This
monthly meeting for women is designed to build solid, genuine relationships
through social and spiritual activities. Participants get to know and trust
each other, finding support and encouragement for the challenges of life.
Activities include guest speakers from the community, nights out, Bible studies
and service projects.
Social Activities
We’re
extremely blessed with a strong sense of unity and community. We enjoy being
together and having fun, and we hold regular activities to keep everyone
connected, some for the entire family and others for just kids or adults.
They include pot-luck dinners, an annual retreat, seasonal parties and a road
rally/scavenger hunt for adults.
